The 12 Days of Greetings / by Johnny Michael

To celebrate Christmas and Hi, we took the classic "12 Days of Christmas" and replaced the gifts with greetings from around the world.

The Process

1. Selected 12 greetings We chose a mix of languages that reflect our product line and create good musical flow: Hi (English), Hola (Spanish), Ciao (Italian), Yasou (Greek), Bonjour (French), Grüezi (Swiss German), Namaste (Hindi), Konnichiwa (Japanese), Aloha (Hawaiian), Jambo (Swahili), Shalom (Hebrew), and Merhaba (Turkish).

2. Adapted the lyrics Following the original song structure, each verse adds a new greeting. We tried to emphasize the "BOOON-JOUR" as the dramatic moment (like the "five golden rings"). But it didn’t quite come out the way I wanted.

3. Created the song with Suno AI We used Suno, an AI music generation tool, to turn the lyrics into an actual song. You input text and musical direction, and it generates a complete track. We had the original idea, but worked with Claude to make the lyrics and get the structure down in minutes.
